St. Andre
St. Andre cheese is a high (75%) milk-fat or triple cream cow’s milk cheese in a powdery white, bloomy rind, It has a soft buttery texture.
In 1928, a country chese maker started the St. Andre Cremery in Villefranche de Rouerque, France, in the middle of the Pyrennes; a region also known for Roquefort cheese.
St. Andre has a reputatuion as a blend of the perfect Brie mixed with equal parts of thick sour cream and whipped sweet cream.

This week’s wine:
Oxford Landing Rose 2006
Bright ruby with rose pink tints. This wine has lifted aromas of cherries and strawberry with hints of rose petal and violets. The palate is generous and fruit driven with layers of fresh berry fruits, rhubarb and anise. This wine shows the elegnt structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with its characteristic leafy tannins, yet finishes soft and clean with a lingering fruit persistence.
